Penobscot Theatre Company’s Dramatic Academy is presenting Beverly Cleary’s “Ramona Quimby,” a dramatized compilation of Cleary’s iconic heroine’s adventures, at the Bangor Opera House.
Audiences can look forward to following Ramona through her third-grade year and the trials and triumphs that accompany her every move. Along for the rollicking ride are bossy sister Beezus, Ramona’s best friend Howie and stern Mrs. Griggs, the third-grade teacher from “h-e-double hockey sticks.” Through the story, drawn from several Cleary novels for young readers, Ramona learns that though life is sometimes unfair, it can be pretty fun, too.
Tickets are $8 for students and $12 for adults. Discounted rates are available for groups. To purchase tickets or for more information, call 942-3333 or visit www.penobscottheatre.org.
