2022 Blue Hill Maritime Heritage Festival
August 13 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

The third annual Blue Hill Maritime Heritage Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 13, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. along the town’s historic Water Street.
The sights, sounds and tastes of the town’s maritime heritage will be available to all. Boat displays and rides, a sailboat pool for kids, a birch-bark canoe and other presentations about centuries of seafaring history can be found by strolling along the waterfront.
Visitors will hear sea shanties and fiddle tunes from six different musical groups, one each hour. Watch for a street theater performance with puppets.
The Shaw Institute’s Marine Studies program will share its research by showing examples of water science experiments. Under the big tent at noon, boat builder and designer Paul Gartside, here from New York, will be signing his book.
Seafood and ice cream vendors will also be on hand. The rain date is Sunday, Aug. 14.
