Anthotypes Workshop in Blue Hill
August 20 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Blue Hill Heritage Trust is sponsoring a workshop on anthotypes on Saturday, Aug. 20, from 10 a.m.-noon at the Blue Hill Community Garden on Tenney Hill.
Anthotypes are an alternative photographic process using chlorophyll in plants to make light impressions on paper or fabric. Join the Blue Hill Garden Club and the Open Air Arts Initiative in the Community Garden to ‘draw with light’ using a selection of native plants and vegetables from the garden. We will experiment with this non-toxic process that uses common household ingredients. Learn how to make your own prints using beets, spinach and turmeric. Materials provided.
