Art Workshop at Blue Hill Library: Paper Butterfly Casts
March 6 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

All ages are invited to a hands-on art workshop creating paper butterfly casts with native grass seeds on Wednesday, March 6, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Blue Hill Public Library. The casts will be used for an art installation restoration project at the new fish passage on Pierces Pond in Penobscot, and participants are welcome to take some home as well. This event is part of the Open Air Arts Initiative in which kids create artwork inspired by nature.
The workshop is being co-sponsored by the Cynthia Winings Gallery, Blue Hill Heritage Trust, the SEED Barn and the library. It is free and open to all. The exhibit will be available for viewing during library hours starting Feb. 1. For more information, call the library at 374-5515.
