Author Talk at Blue Hill Library
July 23 @ 4:00 pm
The Blue Hill Public Library will host a presentation by Posey Boicourt about her 2019 memoir “Blue Tulip” on Saturday, July 23, at 4 p.m. at the library.
In “Blue Tulip,” Boicourt explores the forgotten world of a portrait painter from whom she is directly descended. This charming memoir appeals to those interested in genealogy, family artifacts, characters behind portraits, and tales of sociocultural exploration. Join Posey has she shares her adventures in Bruges, Paris and the Loire Valley as well as her process in writing the book, most of which she did in her writer’s cabin in Castine, occasionally in the company of a mouse and a fisher cat.
This program is free, and everyone is welcome. Books will be available for sale and signing.
