Author Talk at Blue Hill Library

The Blue Hill Public Library and Blue Hill Books will co-sponsor an author event with Maine author Morgan Talty for his new story collection, “Night of the Living Rez,” on Thursday, Aug. 4, at 6:30 p.m.

Set in a Native community in Maine, “Night of the Living Rez” is Talty’s riveting debut collection about what it means to be Penobscot in the 21st century, and what it means to live, to survive, and to persevere after tragedy. In 12 stories, the author breathes life into tales of family and community bounds, as they struggle with a painful past and an uncertain future.
