“Friends from the Field” Webinar

Blue Hill Heritage Trust and Island Heritage Trust are excited to announce an upcoming webinar in their “Friends from the Field” series.

The program, scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 14, from 4-5 p.m., will feature Kathy Pollard of Know Your Land Consulting speaking on the Bangor Land Trust’s Edible Landscape Project.

Pollard is a habitat and permaculture specialist with a background in wildlife ecology and traditional indigenous ecological knowledge. She is the project leader for Bangor Land Trust’s Edible Landscape Project, now in its second year. In this presentation, she will share information on this endeavor to both improve wildlife habitat and encourage multigenerational public engagement with BLT’s preserves through collaborative participation in planting, caring for and even sustainably harvesting some of the edible permaculture that have been added to BLT preserves. There will be time for question and answers after the presentation.
