Books and Brews Event
September 30 @ 6:00 pm
Do you like a good book? How about drinking great beer? If so, this is the book club for you. Join Blue Hill Public Library’s Assistant Director Kayleigh Thomas at Strong Brewing in Sedgwick to discuss a book and drink some beer. We will meet once a month, typically on the last Friday of the month.
This month, we will be reading and discussing “Breaking Bread: Essays from New England on Food, Hunger and Family,” edited by Deborah Joy Corey and Debra Spark. A collection of essays by top literary talents and food writers, “Breaking Bread” celebrates local foods, family, and community, while exploring how what’s on our plates engages with what’s off: grief, pleasure, love, ethics, race and class
Copies of the book will be available in advance for checkout from the library. For more information, call the library at 374-5515 or email Kayleigh at [email protected].
