Books and Brews Event
July 29 @ 6:00 pm

Do you like a good book? How about drinking great beer? If so, this is the book club for you. Join Blue Hill Public Library’s Assistant Director Kayleigh Thomas at Strong Brewing in Sedgwick to discuss a book and drink some beer. We will meet once a month, typically on the last Friday of the month.
“The Night Shift” by Alex Finlay will be discussed on Friday, July 29, at 6 p.m. On New Year’s Eve in 1999, at a Blockbuster Video in New Jersey, four teenagers are attacked and only one survives. A suspect is identified but escapes and is never seen again. Fifteen years later, teenage employees at an ice cream store in the same town are attacked, and again, only one makes it out alive. The lives of the original survivor, the accused’s brother, and an FBI agent all intersect in the attempt to learn the truth.
Copies of the book are now available for checkout from the library. For more information, call the library at 374-5515 or email Kayleigh at [email protected].
