Brewer Public Library Hosting Free Adult Digital Literacy Classes

The Brewer Public Library is hosting free digital literacy classes throughout August. The classes will be provided by the National Digital Equity Center on computer basics, using technology as we age and internet safety. They will be taught by Lindsay Ouellette, a trained Digital Literacy Instructor.
The schedule is as follows:
Info Session, Aug. 5 6-7 p.m. This info session is an introduction to the month’s offerings.
Aging Well with Tech, Aug. 7 6-7 p.m. A one-hour program featuring how we can use and understand technology well into our lives.
Intro to Computers, Part I Aug. 12 4-7 p.m. Part I is three hours and covers basic computer skills and knowledge.
Intro to Computers, Part II Aug. 14 4-7 p.m. Part II continues with basic computer skills and knowledge.
Internet Safety Aug. 19 4-7 p.m. When on the internet, it can be difficult to know what websites and emails you can trust. With this three-hour course you’ll learn how to navigate the web safely.
