Decoupage on Glass: Exploring the Victorian Art Form
July 16 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Saturday, repeating until Saturday, July 23, 2022

ArtWaves is hosting a two-part workshop titled “Decoupage on Glass: Exploring the Victorian Art Form” with Linda Stretch and Ellen Zinner.
Queen Victoria became entranced with decoupage. Because of her it then became very popular in the early 20th century!
Decoupage is the French word for “to cut.” The cutting and gluing techniques have changed over the years. Queen Victoria enjoyed this “pastime” and taught other royals the art of decoupage. The craft lends itself to any smooth surface, boxes, plates and bowls. Bring your glass item to class and we will have everything else you need. We will have a selection of things to show you and we will also have an array of papers and magazines. Use music, illustrations, cartoons, flowers, herbs, stamps, birds, whatever you like!
