Drive-in Movie in Stonington: “The Call of the Wild”
July 10 @ 8:45 pm
An event every day that begins at 8:45 pm, repeating until Sunday, July 12, 2020
Opera House Arts (OHA) is offering drive-in movies at the Stonington ball field on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at 8:45 throughout the summer, beginning July 10 with “The Call of the Wild,” a 2020 release based on the novel by Jack London.
Gates will open at 7:30 and there will be no parking after 8:40, as latecomers will not be admitted. Film audio will be broadcast over FM radio (station TBD). Folks can listen to their car radio or portable radio and are advised to ensure their radio tunes to the correct frequency before purchasing tickets.
Tickets go on sale July 1 and must be purchased online through Opera House Arts’ website. Movie concessions will be sold at the time of ticket purchase, and will be ready for patrons at the gate. Patrons will be asked to show their ticket confirmation to staff upon entering. Staff will guide patrons in their cars to socially distanced spots in the Stonington ball field. No alcohol will be permitted on the premises.
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, all OHA staff will wear face masks at all times. Patrons must stay in their cars to watch the film as sitting outside of vehicles will not be permitted. Vehicles will be spaced 6 feet apart. Patrons are asked to wear face masks if they need to leave their car for any reason. As restroom facilities will be limited, OHA asks that patrons plan accordingly.
