Hybrid Restorative Yoga Class
October 15 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Finding time to slow down, refocus and find a balance in life are the goals of Dannie Rollins’ restorative yoga practice. Dannie will share this meditative yoga style with the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center on Oct. 15 from 3 to 4 p.m. through a hybrid session. Restorative yoga is great for all levels.
This form of yoga focuses on holding poses (asanas) for 5-10 minutes at a time supported by props (bolsters, blocks, blankets, straps etc.) to reach your optimal relaxed state.
The purpose of restorative yoga is to relax & unify the mind and body. There are many benefits to restorative yoga: Increased relaxation, better sleep, improved well-being, better mood, reduced pain and gentleness in the body. Dress in comfortable clothing and consider wearing socks or having a blanket nearby just in case you feel chilly.
Rollins is a certified instructor in restorative & yin yoga. She also holds an associate degree in mental health and is a certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist focusing on plant-based nutrition plans.
This free event is open to all. You can join this event at the center or join from Zoom if you wish.
