Jesup Library Online Talk

The Jesup Memorial Library is hosting an online talk on May 12 titled “Highlights from the Collections: The Story of the Bar Harbor Historical Society.”

Carolyn Rapkievian, executive director of the Historical Society, will explore the museum’s transformation from the basement of the Jesup to a waterside mansion, featuring new research and treasures from the collections. Rapkievian has held leadership positions in history, science, nature, art, cultural and children’s museums for over 40 years including, most recently, 26 years at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. She has lectured internationally about the role of museums in understanding history. This talk will be online only on Zoom. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link.
