Lamoine Community Arts Production: “Getting to Know You”

Lamoine Community Arts will present “Getting To Know You – A Speed Dating Adventure in a Retirement Village – Reprise” at the Lamoine Grange Hall.

This great show is being brought back from Fall 2021 by popular demand. The play, directed by Daniel Clement, with script by Lamoine playwright Merle Bragdon, is set in Forest Heights Retirement Community. The occasion is an afternoon of speed dating, organized for the enjoyment of the residents by the all-knowing events coordinator Joyce. Is love possible after 70s, 80s, 90s decades? The cast of 22 portray an array of colorful characters – Phil from Philly with his pink Cadillac, Morty the retired tchotchke salesman, Jane the party animal, Bonnie and Herb (who have nothing in common) and more.

The play will be performed in the Lamoine Grange Hall on Route 184,
Lamoine Corner.

For the protection of us all, the community, other audience members and LCA actors, production staff, and volunteers, attendees must show proof of vaccination and wear a mask inside the Grange. Seating will be physically distanced.
