Lecture at SW Harbor Library

The Southwest Harbor Public Library is hosting an in-person and online lecture titled “Russia, the War in Ukraine and the Problem of Peace” on Sept. 27 at 5:30 p.m. The speaker is Seth Singleton. Registration is required.
Singleton studied Russian history and literature at Harvard and international relations at Yale. He has taught courses on Russian history and foreign policy since the 1970s. He has been faculty associate of the Harvard Russian Research Center (now the Davis Center), recipient of grants at the Kennan Institute and the National Council of Soviet and East European Research, and consultant on Soviet foreign policy to the U.S. government. He has traveled to all parts of the former Soviet Union and lived and worked in Russia in 1991 and 1992 as the Soviet Union collapsed.
Singleton lives in Hall Quarry and taught most recently at the University of Maine.
Registration is required to attend both in-person, masked, and to receive an online link. Each in-person attendee must complete a registration. We will have a waitlist so register just in case a space becomes available.
