Opening Reception for Smart Studio Exhibit

Painting in Europe was one of Wini Smart’s childhood dreams and she was able to fulfill those dreams many times traveling to France, Italy, England, Spain and Greese.
She painted nonstop on those trips, bringing home stacks of watercolor sketches. We have gathered some of those sketches and some large oil paintings inspired by those trips and will have them on display at the Smart Studio, 137 Main St., Northeast Harbor from Aug. 11-19 with an opening reception planned on Thursday, Aug. 11, from 5-7 p.m. at the gallery.
Wini loved two things, painting and helping people in need, and in her honor Smart Studio will donate 50 percent of any proceeds to help the people of Ukraine.
