Orchard Tour at Jonathan Fisher House
September 3 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Leslie Cummins will guide visitors through the reconstructed orchard and discuss Fisher’s original design and planting, as well as the process of re-establishing the orchard 20 years ago based on the documented apple varieties from Fisher’s original orchard map, including the Roxbury Russet (a then-newly-established American variety), the Golden Russet (a very ancient variety) and the Ribston Pippin (a famous British variety).
Tours of the orchard are free, but donations to support the Fisher House are always welcome. Regular tours of the interior of the 1814 Fisher House are available each Wednesday-Saturday from 1-4 p.m.
There is a suggested donation of $10 for visitors touring the interior of the house. Note that masks are required indoors for all visitors.
