Predicting and Monitoring Water Quality in Taunton Bay

Friends of Taunton Bay is hosting a talk titled “Predicting and Monitoring Water Quality in the Bay: UMaine and Maine DMR Research” on July 29, at 7 p.m. at the Taunton Bay Education Center.
Lauren Ross, UMaine Watershed Process and Estuary Sustainability Research Group, and Hannah Horecka of the Maine Department of Marine Resources (DMR) will demonstrate the data models they have created to predict how pollutants from outside the bay can affect the bay. Hannah will explain where, when and how the DMR monitors the bay for shellfish harvesting.
