Concert at Surry Arts and Events at the Barn

Surry Arts and Events at the Barn will host a classical music concert featuring the music of Phil Acimovic (pictured) and Julian Drummond on June 19 at 4 p.m.
Acimovic is a composer and gamelan musician from Easthampton, Mass. He writes concert music for soloists, chamber ensembles and orchestra. Phil studied composition with Kurt Rohde, Sam Nichols, John McDonald, Ken Steen and David Macbride.
Phil’s compositions has been performed by the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble, the Empyrean Ensemble, Chris Froh, and John McDonald. His music has been featured at new music festivals such as June in Buffalo, New Music on the Point, SICPP, and the Revision/s Festival.
Drummond attended the Boston Conservatory and UMass-Amherst. His wide artistic range includes piano and gamelan.
Tickets are $15 if purchased before June 6 and $18 at the door after that date.
