The Met: Live in HD: “Hamlet” at Collins Center
June 4 @ 1:00 pm
$25 adults; $20 seniors; $10 students
The Collins Center for the Arts will host a broadcast of the Metropolitan Opera’s “Hamlet” on Saturday, June 4, at 1 p.m.
When Australian composer Brett Dean’s “Hamlet” had its world premiere at the Glyndebourne Festival in 2017, The Guardiandeclared, “New opera doesn’t often get to sound this good … Shakespeare offers a gauntlet to composers that shouldn’t always be picked up, but Dean’s ‘Hamlet’ rises to the challenge.”
Nicholas Carter makes his Met debut conducting a remarkable ensemble.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors (ages 65 and up) and $10 for students.
