Yellow Tulip Project Hope Day Celebration
May 14 @ 11:00 am
Ellsworth’s Yellow Tulip Project Committee invites community members to a Hope Day celebration on Saturday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at Knowlton Park. The rain date is scheduled for Sunday, May 15, at 11 a.m.
The event will feature music from the Ellsworth High School Show Choir and Jazz Band, poetry and messages of hope from community members. Local organizations, including Healthy Acadia, Ellsworth Public Library, Downeast Restorative Justice and Community Health & Counseling will have information tables at the event.
YTP Ellsworth is looking for other organizations providing support to people who are struggling with mental illness that might like to have a table at the event. Individuals or organizations who also would like to offer self care opportunities – meditation session, chair massage, yoga or other restorative practices – would be welcome. There will be an activity table for kids and a storytime. Those planning to attend are welcome to bring a chair or blanket.
