My focus remains on continuing to grow jobs and paychecks and lowering the costs of health care for Mainers.

I believe we must continue to grow our economy, grow jobs and grow paychecks. To do this, we need to make sure our trade policies are fair, energy and heating costs are low, small businesses can compete with smarter regulations and our tax rates are competitive.

In Hancock County, I’ve worked across the aisle with Sen. Angus King to resolve boundary issues in the Acadia Region to protect hundreds of clamming and worming jobs. I am also working with the entire Maine delegation to support Acadia National Park, fully oppose offshore drilling on our coast, and resolve the maintenance backlog at the park so we can keep it in top condition for generations, continuing to power our local tourism economy.

We must also work to lower the costs of health care. Since my first year in Congress, I’ve been pushing my own Maine-based 14-point health care plan that provides free-market solutions to lower health care costs while maintaining protections for those with pre-existing conditions.
