The next two years will not be the “same old, same old” in Augusta; the pandemic has stripped this state of jobs and state revenue. In previous tough budgets, our legislators have led us to a state shutdown, further hurting our economy and our fellow Mainers. We couldn’t afford that then, and we definitely cannot afford that now.
We need decision-makers in Augusta who will work to make sure we still have places to eat, shop, get services, and go to work each Monday morning. As a commercial real estate broker, I’ve been speaking with businesses every day for the last 16 years about issues that are important to them; we need a state government that listens, supports, and backs our local businesses now more than ever.
We also need decision-makers who can work across the aisle and find viable solutions for everyone for important issues like the funding of our schools and access to healthcare in rural Maine. Our government should work for us. Our communities deserve a state senator who will meet with them, listen, and then act.
It would be my honor to represent you in Augusta and I would appreciate your vote on Nov. 3.
