I am running for re-election to serve you in the Maine State Senate. To serve the public – all citizens, in a positive and constructive way. I have passionately fought to pass legislation on behalf of victims of domestic violence. I have secured funding to fight the scourge of addiction and bring more recovery services to our region. I have partnered with other members of the legislature to pass overdue reforms of our criminal justice system. I delivered funding for transportation projects and more resources for local education. I helped pass real property tax relief for all homeowners and renters.
My enthusiasm for public service is rewarded when I am able to make a difference in the day-to-day challenges facing Maine people. Sometimes it is helping a small business untangle from the red-tape of government, or a foster family seeking support to help take care of a child in need, or a proud retiree needing a guide through the alphabet soup of government programs.
I am proud of my 100 percent voting record. But I am most proud of the past support from you, the voters of Maine Senate District 8.
I ask for your support once again.
