When I chose to run for representative, it was a decision I did not take lightly. I am married to my wife Carrie and we are raising our three children, Robin, Carter and Harper. I am a self-employed fisherman, and I knew there would also be a financial sacrifice. After serving two years as your representative, I know I made the right decision. I have had the pleasure of speaking to hundreds of constituents and hearing your concerns. Whether those concerns were about pesticides harming our bees, animal advocacy, protecting your rights, or assisting you through the unemployment process, it was my pleasure to hear you and take your concerns with me to Augusta. I have sponsored, cosponsored and passed bills for the fishing industry, veterans and the environment. I had success because I was willing to work across the aisle with Democrats and Independents. This next session will be a difficult one as we wade into the murky waters of a state that has been devastated both socially, and economically by COVID. I believe that my lifetime as a resident of this community and my experience representing you in Augusta make me the right choice.
